The project consists of a new 2,480-seat ballet opera house, 2,200-seat concert hall, 200-seat studio theater, outdoor plaza bisected by Biscayne Boulevard, and restoration of the historic 1929 Sears Tower listed in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The complex is the second largest performing arts center in the United States, and is home to the Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet, and New World Symphony.
