Phase I includes restoration of the existing building and 450 seat theatre, built in 1924, to preserve the original structure and details and adaptive reuse as a museum purposes and bringing it up to present code standards. A park/exhibit area was also provided. Phase II consists of a new building to house additional exhibit areas, a library, classrooms, a museum store and service/toilet facilities.
